Dr. Connor is Associate Professor of Special Education at Hunter College in New York City. He has written two books published by Peter Lang: Reading Resistance: Discourses of Exclusion in Desegregation and Inclusion Debates and Urban Narratives: Life at the Intersections of Learning Disability, Race, and Social Class. He has won the 2006 Emerging Scholar in Disabilities Studies in Education Award from the DSE/Special Interest Group of the American Education Research Association. Dr. Connor is also an accomplished artist.
